What is the Network of Companies Committed to Education and Research?

The network of companies committed to education and research was created with the aim of linking companies with the educational and research work of universities. The connection between companies and higher education institutions focuses on three main axes:

Education relevant to the context

  1. The communication between companies and higher education institutions to educate in relation to market needs. Foster communication about what companies need in terms of skills and knowledge of future professionals.

Relevant research:

  1. Promote research in universities and ensure that this research is relevant and useful for the context in which it develops. Companies will not only be able to suggest research topics but also get involved and support those research projects that are relevant and interesting to them. Member companies of the network will have access to information from the scientific articles presented at the Annual EQUAA Forum and the International Research Competition.

Consulting by universities:

  1. The university has the task, in addition to education, of helping to solve the problems that companies have. The university is a center of knowledge, and therefore it must gather professionals and academics to work together and help solve the problems that exist in the context of which they are a part. In Latin America, this objective has not been worked on, and it is of mutual interest for both companies and educational institutions to work on this point.

What is the “International Internship Program of EQUAA”?

The International Internship Program was created with the aim of promoting the exchange of students to carry out pre-professional and professional internships in Latin American countries. The member universities of EQUAA will announce those students they suggest for the program, and companies will be able to evaluate among the students suggested by the universities to recruit interns for their companies at an international level. This program is limited to those students suggested by the universities who can represent the name of the university and give a good image of it internationally. The program is limited to a certain number of students per university according to the number of opportunities available in the network of companies. Among the benefits of this program are:

  • For students: the possibility of having a work experience in a country different from their own
  • For the university: internationalization and linkage with companies
  • For the company: the possibility of having an international work environment and receiving students suggested by the same universities.
